Granted, it can cause some discouragement when we don’t see quick results, but most times, it’s going to take a consistent amount of effort before noticing anything. So, reward small achievements. Remain positive and optimistic. Sometimes it can be easy to let things fester and before you know it, you stay in your pajamas for two days. Not that there is anything wrong with having those moments, but when we zero in on what is good about a situation, rather than the not-so-good, we avoid going to that dark place in our minds. Avoid negative and spending a lot of time with pessimistic people. Have a support group of trusted people who can cheer you on and encourage you. Getting inspiration and motivation from at least one or two people is important. Think long-term rather than where you are now. We are not where we want to be, but where we are is just temporary. With hard work, dedication and perseverance, we are getting closer to our goals. Don’t compare where you are to where someone...

THE POWER OF POSITIVE VIBES

THE POWER OF POSITIVE VIBES

Have you ever thought about the power of positive vibes? For instance, how many times have you been in the best mood, but after being around a constant complainer, you thought afterwards, “I kinda want that time back”? On the other hand, there is just something about a person who is uplifting, right? A person who seems to have a perpetual smile and contagious laugh exudes confidence and magnetism. Most of us would gravitate towards them hoping some of that rubs off on us. We know that when we are in good spirits we feel better about ourselves and life in general. Our environment and what we let into our lives have influence. When around negativity, aggression and pessimism, we tend to mimic that behavior. I have seen some who refuse to let anyone “rain on their parade”, but for the most part, the rest of us don’t get by that easy. It can be draining. Now, don’t get me wrong.
