Medication Abortion | The Abortion Pill
A medication abortion, the abortion pill, is two drugs (mifepristone and misoprostol) taken in separate doses 24-48 hours apart. Another name for the abortion pill is a medical or chemical abortion. It is usually taken between 4-6 weeks, but it is FDA-approved up to 10-11 weeks after a woman’s last menstrual period (LMP).
